January 13	Just a reminder for our members in the Albany area that there will be a support group meeting at 7:00 PM in the Community Room, Macy's Colonie Center.
January 16	For those members in the Southern Tier of Buffalo area, there will be a support group meeting at the Community Center on East Greenwood Street @ 6:00 PM, in Andover, New York. Children are invited to attend so they could meet and get to meet and know each other.
January 21	Deadline to apply for 2009 TSA Youth Ambassador Training. Info

February 12	"Twitch and Shout", a one-hour documentary about individuals living with disabilities, by independent filmmaker Laurel Chiten, will be shown at the ECC North Campus. A discussion will follow with Marge Henning,COTA. Click here for more information, click here for directions.

July 26	Saratoga Racetrack Open House 11am - 4pm. This is a free event, free to us as participants and free to the public. TSA of GNYS Albany Support Group will have an informational table where we can display our info about TS and sell our awareness pins. We will also raffle a great prize!

October 2 - 4	Ticapalooza!! - Annual overnight camping weekend for kids with TS from our entire Greater NY State chapter area from ages 7-17. We have changed camping locations this year and will be at Camp Cory, a wonderful YMCA camp on Keuka Lake in the Finger Lakes region of NY. Click here for more information and registration. October 25	Niagara Falls International Marathon - Full & Half Marathons,10K, 5K, Niagara Falls, NY. This is a Team TSA event. Registration should be done on the TSA website www.tsa-usa.org. Note: WHEN YOU REGISTER, PLEASE IDENTIFY YOURSELF AS A MEMBER OF TSA OF GREATER NY STATE AND THE CHAPTER WILL RECEIVE 30% OF THE MONIES RAISED.

November 17	Albany Support Group Meeting at 7 PM in the Community Room of Macy's in Colonie Center. Susan Conners, M.Ed., will be the guest speaker. During her discussion Ms. Conners will share her experiences with Tourette Syndrome as a student and as a teacher and answer questions. The Tourette Syndrome Albany support group services families throughout the Capital District and its surrounding areas. Meetings are open to anyone interested in meeting others concerned with Tourette Syndrome, learning more about it and sharing experiences. No registration is necessary.
